I didn't have the heart to tell her what I did, she was so upset and worried. This is the same girl who wants us to hide our front yard garden hose and bring the recycling bin inside becuse she thinks someone will steal it.
Thats quite a setback, ive never met people so dumb that they dont get the nasty stuff i do to them.
Still, a little more ruthlessness is needed here, its perfectly reasonable to be rude with utter assholes, especially if you dont care about them. Passive agressive doesnt work, so make it blatantly obvious for them. No freeloading, either they pay up or get priviliges taken away.

I didn't think of it, as I tried the gum in the past and it didn't work at all, in fact it made me think/want to smoke even more than I usually do.
I don't know if the patches suck less, may be worth trying. I'm so desperate..
Try nicotine inhalers. You satisfy the oral fixation with an intake similar to smoking, and you get that immediate enjoyment of good ol nicotine.
Smoked for ~20 years. Day 40 since last smoke. Love me an inhaler, nom nom nom.
Patches are awful, they leave muck on your body which is really hard to wash off, and they itch like a motherfucker.
Edit: Though I have no idea what extraction complications include or whether inhalers could make them more likely. Good luck.

Thanks for your advice.
I've never heard of cigarette inhalers. Where can I procure one? Pharmacy?
Also, it's really the "suction" motion we do while smoking that is troublesome and may dislodge the blood clot. I've been extremely careful so far, I even cut the filter in half so that it's easier to take in without "sucking" much on the cigarette.
This is horrible. it's the bête noire of all.
Congrats on quitting!

I'm not sure if a cigarette inhaler is the same as an e-cig, but you can get e-cigs at most head shops (where you buy bowls, bongs, etc.). You can also get them online. But they do also involve sucking, and typically sucking harder than on a cigarette. Sucking. Hard.

Yeah, you can pick them up at a pharmacy.
Inhalers require a bit of sucking though, though I tend to inhale them like you would a bong, rather than suck-inhale like you would a cigarette. So not sure they’d suit your use or not.
and thanks been an uphill battle thats for sure!!

Oh those look promising.
I'd probably require hypnotherapy, varenicline/Champix and Nicotine inhalers to make me consider quitting. Fucking terrible addiction.
I admire your willpower.
What made you want to quit?

Apparently they’re bad for you! and I was spending just under $5K per year minimum (ie if I bought exclusively at tobacconists/supermarkets rather than corner stores) which is just something I could no longer justify.

my cat has a catnip-filled toy. It plays with it for 2 seconds, goes too dopey to play anymore, then just starts meowing for ages... It often carries the toy around in its mouth meowing, walking from room to room in a drug-fueled swagger, no doubt calling out to the ghosts of kitties past which she sees meandering through our hallways...
bloody animals can't handle their drugs.
