This house is double brick and lots of insulation in the roof so it takes a fair beating in summer, to some extent we're kind of close to the ocean and its nowhere near as nasty as it can be out west. Im downstairs in my office/playpen on the 1st level and it never gets above 25 any time of the year, complete bastard in winter though.
Yeah, the houses up here are totally different. I'm in a Queenslander, which are pretty much made to catch a breeze. But, being built out of wood, and with windows everywhere, it's not the best insulated thing in the world. The roof is pretty well insulated, but that's about it.
We don't have a winter to worry about though, really
