they are so fun in small doses but can't imagine taking care of them 24/7, hats off to parents. i was at a party this weekend and one house had heated pool and the other had one of those inflatable jumping things. the kids went bonkers for 5hrs straight and we were allowed drinking and relax.

She's my favorite aunt, I've visited her a number of times this last year and she's been getting progressively worse. I can't tell exactly what she's dieing of. She has a bunch of medical conditions, copd and skin cancer being the worse. She doesn't have long to live and that's why she was moved to hospice this week, I wasn't going to quiz her daughters on the details. It actually went well because previous weeks she didn't recognize people but today she was with it and knew who everyone was and was able to have a coherent convo.
Some of the simplest things mean so much like holding my hand, a daughters friend got her a stuffed dog, and there was a board on the wall to write messages of encouragement. The nurses and staff were really great. A very positive yet emotionally draining. It was set in a really nice location on the beach, makes the family visit more pleasant.
Actually looked like very rewarding work not like I'd imagined and the nurses looked in good spirits.
Aw, well hospice is a great place to be. Not much more one can wish for their loved one if they know for sure that death is impending. Good for you for visiting often.

Ah shit...huge fire in the neighbourhood. If I was more nosy I'd put on some shoes and walk over to see if it was a home or a business, but I'll just wait for the news at lunch.
Had to close all the windows cause the smoke was blowing this way.

Plane gets here 45 minutes late. Rain starts coming down hard. They board us, then, before the last people are even seated, announce that we can't take off in this weather. What the fuck?! Why did you just tell us to get on?
Now, after the delay, ive been sitting here for over a half hour. On top of that, I'm watching my bag get fucking drenched, because the baggage guys literally just stopped and ran. Theres even a package 1 ft from the top of the ramp. FUCK. FUCK. FUCK.
And there are two babies nearby, crying and yelling. The mom of one of them is making crying dog sounds to calm the kid. WHAT THE FUCK.
I want to rip my eyeballs out and shoot myself in the genitals.

Virus Ti desktop, Kawai K5000S keyboard, Roland HS-60 keyboard, Roland TR-626, Yamaha A5000 sampler, a couple of other rack synths, and some other random stuff (controllers, monitors, soundcard, old shit). Quite a lot of software as well. We both suffer from GAS
