I don`t understand the idea of offering a reward for a lost pet.

Just say you find a stray cat and then a few days later you see a sign that it`s a lost cat and there is a $500 reward for it. When you deliver the cat to the address, do you then demand the money?

Would you not feel like an asshole?

Do you call beforehand and make sure that the $500 is set, else you won`t deliver the cat? Is that not then a ransom?

My brother found a lost dog that was blind and wearing a diaper. The owner offered him money but he refused, then got back in the car and was like "I wish that old bitch had been more persistent on giving me the money..."

As a pet owner/lover, if something happened to pops, I'd offer a small reward, and I'd be insistent that whoever found her got it for her safe return. If one was offered, and they were found then if you really mean something like that you'd just do it, there should be no need to even ask for it.

On facebook I've had a lot of advertising on the sidebar for dating sites.

Obviously facebook has decided because I wasn't clicking those links they would try a different tack
