oh yeah. it's killing us these days. I remember talking to Jolz back in 2002/3 and the rate was about 2.25 aud to £1 and now it's 1.48. Then again on the plus side, I loaned my brother £2000 towards his house deposit, and 12 months on he's about ready to repay me and at current rates it's worth £2310 which beats the savings rates here (most are 0.005 to a max of 2% if you leave it in untouched for about 3 years) by some way.

When I move there in 2012, it will be 1 for 1. That will be amazing to get 30-40K Pounds right off the bat in cash

Be interesting to see just how much Ireland and Spain can match Greece for being abject failures, then your 30-40k could buy Ian's house, his family and his little dog too!

I don't have a house I lodge these days. Right now buying or renting is such a bad idea, such a mess around with the economy. I may not have very much at all but if I live within my means, my future will be much better than mosts.

or with anyone, but yeah. I spend time between diff family members, it's helping me get on my feet financially so why not? Rental market is vastly overpriced due to people not being able to get mortgages so the demand is there so right now it's the best viable option. Renting a room is getting very popular here.

I think the person who tried to get into my apartment was my neighbor. This guy drinks pints of everclear (190-proof spirits) daily!!!

The guy blacks out and does shit that is horrible. . .He breaks windows and goes to other neighbors apartments screaming racists things while banging on their doors

he got into a fight with my neighbor down stairs on Christmas eve

I honestly think he is the type to kill a person when he is wasted and then he will just blame his negligence on blacking out and not remembering anything.

fuck drunk people like that; they are dangerous as fuck and if they kill you they won't remember shit.

Luckily this guy isn't an angry drunk, but he is definitely an alcoholic. I once invited him in for a friendly drink. Dude downed 3 beers in 15 minutes like it was water.
