disco house / deep disco / slo mo house / nu disco ... what do you call it?
i started following this genre about a year and a half ago or so. but its been difficult to research because different websites call it different names. i've been finding them one at a time from linking to another track i like, and linking from that, and so on. a painful slow process. so here's a bunch i like and wonder if anyone can add to the list:
check out Acos CoolKAs, Sare Havlicek, and Ichisan as well.
Some of the nu disco people are going super 70's pure disco sound, but those are three that are keeping the really solid bass and bright melodies that I love so much.

I just call it "nu-disco" for now, though I've heard terms like "cosmic disco", "indie dance" (beatport groups this stuff into it), "disco house" (though I always thought this term referred to filtered loopy house music of the Junior Jack/AVH/Roger Sanchez late 90's variety). Perhaps for stuff like The Revenge and 6th Borough Project, a term like "neo-garage" could be used.

imo, "cosmic disco" could be taken as a subset of nu-disco, although there are plenty of original 70s/80s tunes that have that deep spacey vibe. "indie dance" would come under artists like anoaak, xinobi, moulinexm, grum, etc, while also including some of the less beat focused 80's sounding stuff like hudson mohawke perhaps.
thanks for the posts guys, I'm digging the nu-disco and the imminent return of filtered disco house.
I like mine with a little more grit to it...a lot of this stuff can get a little too "twee" and airy for my liking.
Here's a set I did recently combining Vintage Italo, Disco, Electro-Funk and Nu-Disco...of course I had to edit the shit outta everything
