Why are we still talking about this? Money vs music: The fact that the event sells out means its successful means people buy the tickets = people that go there might actually like that kind of music. Im sure its all well thought out to sell the tickets this early , heck we know they'll sell in advance, so why do it and have a good amount to sit on weeks before the event (im sure those guys never heard of guns and roses before...)
Lets face it, bal en blanc is not for "us", if people like the music that much that they're willing to spend 100+$, who are we to bitch about it? Heck i'd be ready to spend a bundle for artists i really dig. Even if they pay 100$ to smell armin's farts, its not my money, i just wont go and ignore the whole thing,period...ahhhh i miss farting in the middle of a crowd, the smells hangs in the air (especially those mueslix farts), people look around for the guilty culprit, good times, good times....no no i dont do that its evil). Besides this year honestly as for musical diversity, we cant really complain, we had some good stuff in the city (imo): jimpster a few weeks ago, sis/maher/clive henry tomorrow, jamie jones a few months ago, we got piknik killing it proper for the past 2-3 summers. Its their night you know, let them be for one night (just missing the american flag behind me and a violin with a piano playing along, do you see the twinkling tear at the corner of my eye?)
Lets face it, we complain because we want the strippers/silicone valley without the leprechauns and the unicorn music. Bunch of geeks, pffff. .
