How to make juicy cutoffs?

sorry if the title's misleading but what i'm trying to say is how can i get the fattest uplifting/creeping up sound for my sound. i know you automate lowpass & res but is there anything else that will give it that strong uplifting sound?

also, when i automate the lowpass cutoff, the first few seconds has a lot of low end and it's booming like a kick, how do i fix this?

I don't use filter sweeps very often for transitions, but the high resonance coupled with a low cutoff on the filter is causing the oversized bass. So what you need to do is ride the resonance, also you need to automate the EQ to cut off much off the bass that is created at the early stage of the rising cutoff sweep, and gradually give back EQ to the low end as the sweep rises. Also make sure you have your attack set fairly high.

Well, she would have to wash the dishes during our first dinner with my parents, to leave a good impression. Given that she looks like a very good girl, nothing to worry about with her.

She can probably also sew me sweaters during the cold harsh winters, and cook warm meals ready to serve to me, upon whence I enter our shack after a long night of clubbing.

I guess I'll give you a real response ...

Try turning on 24db / 4pole filtering. Lowpass is preferred and turn up the res to about half (depending on the synth). If you still can't get the sound you want, your synth's filter probably sucks.

Also try increasing the reverb mix or time, and for variety perhaps you could use a highpass filter instead and modulate it either up or down...
