Camara question
Which one of them cyber shot/ pocket type camaras makes best videos with great sound? In other words I need a new camara and of course it will get used in a club and in that order it needs to record well.
Thax for your advice.

I use my Panasonic DMC-LZ2.
It has awesome sound quality in clubs, better than any of my friend's cameras.
here's a sample from the last time Armin played @ Pacha.

I have an older Kodak EasyShare camera, but I've always loved how it picked up sound at live events. It could probably be a little less bassy, but I'd assume the newer models pick up the hi and mid range frequencies better and just have better sound overall.

well im comparison to sony vs canon, i would go with canon. I currently have Canon PowerShot SD870 IS and the picture quality is amazing for a point and shoot.
i do have vids taken with my canon, ill upload them later today.

I hear great things about Lumix Cameras, which are owned by Panasonic.

if thats the same/similar camera which captured that awesome moment during SILENCE@Armin at TW - yes the infamous video by now lol
then my votes with that one. i believe certain Panasonic Lumix models have 10X optical zoom also.
altho
Canon Point and Shoots def have gotten up to speed. Drews SD870IS has gotten quite good video/audio capability also

imo the Sony Cybersots take much better videos than any other point and shoot camera but lack picture quality and durability compaired to a Canon or Nikon. My old powershot Canon took OK vids depending on were I was in the club. It seems to me that the microphone in the Sony cams filters out a lot of the base and produces more crisp video's. The Canon would pick up lower fequencies but a lot of the times it would be distorted if you were too close to the speakers.
