Ive waited a long time for this moment.
Steve in my eyes is one of the pioneers of Trance, as far as I can remember... coming back from a rave, or a good party, almost always I had Thrillseekers in my car blarin on my cd deck on the drive home.
Steves Energy and enthusiasm behind the decks has inspired me to push myself harder, and is someone I model myself after when I play. As a big fan of his music, and productions, I so cannot believe I actually will be opening this night.
I also have some exciting news.
To all Tranceaddicts, locally and abroad.
Thanks to all of you, Taj has presented me with Monthly Residency at club 1015. As most of you know, its always been a dream of mine to play at the club. Presenting me with Monthly Residency is just Icing on the cake.
This was a personal goal of mine that I challenged myself for, and won. Within 10 months, I earned what I was after, residency at 1015 Folsom.
All... thanks to all of you who have supported me and asked that I keep returning.
It means alot to me to see you out in the crowd, groovin and goin nuts to my Trance. Something that every Dj wants to see. I am honored you have welcomed me to be a part of your Saturday Nights.
Along side monthly residency, I also have a new job to celebrate with this news. Just things to be on the up and up for me. I will also be giving out another 300 mixed CDs, with limited T-Shirts to commemorate this night.
Ill have a few suprises in store for this night too, all I can say is, be ready.
As a good friend of Steves, I can tell you that he loves us, and loves 1015. He abosolutely feeds off the energy he builds, I know hes excited about this night too.
Will be posting more soon.
Thanks again everyone.

Thanks Dave.
6:40AM..I just got back from a crazy night out all over the bay. Good to see all of you out and about. I derno, prolly about 9 places I stopped by tonight? hehe
I understand and hear where you are coming from.
I can remember those days..
Being behind the decks and watching openers, with you and others over the years, I know how crucial it is to stay within the bpm range I should. Over the months I've understood where my responsiblity lies as an opener. Its important to me to put on a good show, and hope to continue building this relationship with all of you like I have been over the months.
Realistically, I listen to trance probably 4-6 hours out of my day, when I was working, prolly 8-10, since I was tied to a desk. I usually catch the online radio shows like ASOT, and TATW... but for me its never enough.
Ive learned that not only do I set the mood for the night, but the entrance for the headlining Dj as well. the next coming weeks I have alot of work to do, not only on preparation for this night, but this honor I have to open for one of the greatest Djs around.
There are certain classics I like to bring back once in a while durning my sets, some of them easily recognized. There are also tracks I have a feeling the headliner is not going to play, so I try to choose wisely and stay away from the ones I know they are going to play. Sometimes, I even go as far as communicating with the headliner to feel out whats ok. The last thing I want to do is insult the headliner.
When I opened for Blank and Jones over NYE weekend, Jaspa Jones and Piet came out and told me I did a great Job and said I rocked. Feedback from both of them was crazy, since I have looked up to both of them since I cant remember...
Suck ups? The sucking up thing comes from trying to get their names out there. I have encountered some of those people out there. For me, I'm friends with everyone I meet, and live by the rule of treat others the way you want to be treated. Your not going to get your name out there by sucking up. I want to be recognized for being me. Thats whats important. Fuck ya im a raver. I always will be.
Everyone I usually meet 9 times out of 10 is a Dj. But there is a difference between being a Dj, and being a Dj. Kinda hard to put into words I guess.
I get my highs off people who pat me on the back at the end of my set and say you made my night, or tells someone they hope to see me back next time and eager to hear me play again. It drives me to want to do to more, work harder and perfect my skills. Biggest rush I have ever had.
I do hope you can make this night DaveT.
New mix will be posted this week. Stay tuned folks...

To add to that, he's pretty much like that from start to finished. Check out this video that Gilbert took from NYE at 1015.
