Re: Russia is at it again

They are hurting georgia with blockades and suspension of travel, because of the whole spy incident.
Why does Russia continue to flex their muscles? I mean, they have a HUGE amount of influence in a lot of countries, I think it would be wiser to use it to promote a friendship, instead of a fear of cutting off oil (Ukraine), and blockades (Georgia)... It's really ridiculous. |
LMAO!!! Do you even have a slightest idea why they are doing it? You think they have nothing better to do? Reasons why they are doing it:
1) Russian officers were illegally seized, humiliated in public and arrested and accused of spying for Russia. However, after blowing up the entire media campaign to make Russia look bad, they decided not to charge the officers and handed them over to third party and eventually to Russia. Why would these officers spy in the first place when they who wore Russian military uniforms of Russia at all times. It would be easier to infiltrate with an ethnic Georgian into their military instead - they are millions of Goergians living in Russia right now.
2) There are nearly 10 million Georgians living in Russia right now. Many of them are illegally in the country, dont pay taxes, have the highest rates of crimes amongst any illegal group of people in Russia, and they send over 300 MILLION dollars every year to their oppressive regime, not paying taxes! Finally Russia decided to shut this down!
3) Several prominent Georgian criminal elements have been detained in Moscow owning illegal gambling lines, stores and sscamming people, ignoring the laws ...
4) Georgia has illegally cracked down on its opposition within the country recently, resulting IN MASS ARRESTS, blaming opposition for plans to overthrow the government (bullshit). Where is the democracy? Where is the evidence to back all these arrests?
5) Georgia has violated its peace treaty with Abkhazia from 1993 and INVADED a region of Upper Kodoria recently, which is party of Abkhazia. Illegal, while EU and Americans have been silent.
6) Georgian government was earlier in the year involved in a huge scandal involving a suspicious death called a suicide of a prominent party official who was not supportive of the government line.
7) Georgian government under Saakashvilli has promised the people reforms, tax cuts, higher income and more pensions, while doing noone of that.
8) Current leader of this dictatorship country has been trained, educated in USA, and he initially became the leader in 2004 by instigating a series of protests and overthrowing the government.
9) Georgia owes Russia millions of dollars in gas bills, airline fees, money lent and other business transactions.

Putin is turning the government into a authoritarian one. He, and his hard liner friends would rather destroy a government completely than have them westernize (Ukraine). Everyone hates Yushchenko now... I wonder why? The orange revolution was useless.
I don't give a shit about what Georgia did. Russia has abosulety no right to cripple any country, economically. That is the UN's job. They did it without the consent of the UN or NATO.
Don't give me bullshit, ok? |
So how do you suggest Russia treats Georgia? Should it just continue ignoring the Georgian violations over the years? The patience has grown thin. I lived in SOCHI, not far from Georgia, I've seen their bullshit. UN doesnt GIVE A FUCK. You know what EU and NATO said? This s an internal issue between Russia and Georgia. You need to do more research on this, buddy.
Plus EU, NATO and USA are not very supportive of Russia anyway. They'd rather have a war between Georgia and Russia so that they can claim a right to intervene in the conflict like they did in Yugoslavia.
Orange revolution was ant-Russian. Look at what it did, corruption, lies, stereotypes, economic hardship. So Russia decided to sell gas to them at market prices - and why shouldn't they - Ukraine is no longer an ally - they should then pay the normal price. Plus Ukraine is stealing a lot of Russian gas, its been documented. Austria voiced concerns that Ukraine is threatening its gas stability. I think thats fair deal with equal prices, its unfair that EU is paying way more than Ukraine which hates Russia and wants to join NATO even though 85 percent of the country is against that!!!
What is Russia earning with 80 bucks for gas? Ukraine hates them. EU is paying 220 bucks for gas. So the smart thing to do is charge the same, right?
Russia is not crippling Georgia. Georgia is breaking a lot of laws, so Russia is trying to BLOCK OFF the sources of this problem - the illegal immigrants, the mafia, the government institutions of Georgia.
LOL @ Putin turning authoritarian!!! Isnt it thats why he gave the regions of Russia SELF-GOVERNMENT??? ISNT IT WHY HE ALLOWED CHECHNYA is own president, parliament and they actually voted on referendum to stay within Russia!
He cracked down on corruptors like Berezovskiy and Yukos because they were money-launderers and wanted to overthrow the government. EVEN THE INTERPOL RECENTLY CALLED FOR ARREST OF BEREZOVSKIY!

NATO actually has addressed this issue, it seems that they do "GIVE A FUCK".
| quote: | | European Commission spokeswoman Emma Udwin echoed that sentiment saying that both sides had to avoid actions that could heighten tensions. And U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld said that the NATO ministers had urged for calm in their meeting with Ivanov. |

They have denounced the sanctions against georgia, saying it will increase the tension between the two. Tsk tsk.

Oh god
| quote: | | Gazprom claims to have taken this action because Ukraine refuses to pay the market rate for natural gas which is approximately four times higher than the price previously agreed upon by the two. |
SOURCE
Russia breaking an agreement, fueled the non-payment. Go do some research

Why wouldn't he, when he installs pro-russian, and anti-terrorist leaders like Kadyrov?

America has already been through this. There was no need to NATIONALIZE the companies and DESTROY MILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF SHAREHOLDERS MONEY, LIKE RUSSIA DID! Russia should have asked for some fucking pointers.

HAHAHA!!! HI THERE MR. AMERICA!
IT IS YOUR COUNTRY that uses this economical pressure to manipulate other countries, like the embargoes on Iraq and Iran. At least Russia is not going as far as doing a complete economic blockade on Ukraine.
You better watch whats going on in your own backyard before you say statements like this. Whats Russia doing is NOTHING compared to the dirty little tricks by NATO, and USA in particular.
