I have them and it's damm hard to beatmatch, I have pretty much given up on them. wish i'd saved for 1210's now

I agree completely. They frustrated me to a point of stopping for a few months, then came back with a new passion and haven't looked back since. And yes, it does become waaaay easier with any decent deck than the Numarks.

my little setup its in a cupboard which is really annoying but its alright for now... i just got the fx500 two days ago its fkn fun to muck around with but i dont understand half of what it does. and the records are all my babies =]

Here is my setup:
The psycedelic black velvet I picked up at the fabric store for real cheap. It hides my bad woodworking skills.
I glued the fabric to the wood using auto upulstry(sp?) spray glue and a staple gun.
The wood was just 2 cheap 4' x 4' pieces and some scraps from home depot.
I spent a total of ~$60 on materials for the table.
That amp sitting under the table is my Heathkit (old skool hi-fi) receiver I picked up at the flea market for $40.
The speakers are freebies that were being thrown out by a family memeber.
The DJCD dual player is a factory referbished(it works and looks perfect) unit that I got off e-bay for half the price of a new unit.
The mixer I bought off a friend for half the cost of a new one.
Quality of mixes made with this setup: priceless.
