You don't know yet.. I am planning on buying a CDJ1000mk2 for that purpose of dropping samples, accapellas, beat jugglings, my own edits/remixes of tracks etc. $1500 for something to do that with, and yes it will be worth it!
Having a third, fourth, fifth, etc deck is not excessive for some DJ's. Look at Carl Cox, the guy uses more than 3 on a CONSTANT basis when he spins, if he didn't have more than that, I really do think his sets would lack in quality...
