The sounds are solid love the beats. Nice and groovey.
What set up do have?

Im thinking of getting a hardware synth to produce some nice phatt sounds. Any adivce on what to get?

Although I'm definitely no pro. Phatt sounds don't have to be the result of the synth itself. Phattness comes from all the processing, effects and how you mix it.
I used NI Massive for the bass in that track, so that's probably one of the simpler "phatter" style soft synths.
As for getting some hardware, it all depends on how much $$ you have got.

onion.. really liking that remix you did man. the way you're taking some of these classics and giving them depth is really cool mate.. top notch dutchforce remix, and now bbe. one thing .. and im no breaks expert (i know how hard they are) but perhaps a little bit of variation in parts (or a few elements here and there to make them a bit more interesting)

Thanks stud. Yeah I usually add the variation or the 'fills' when ive done all the other parts. I know a lot of other guys who do it the other way around. Don't worry I know what you mean

I'm thinking about taking the piano part out as well, and make the track with a bit more edge but still keeping that 'oldskool' feel about it.

that would work.. maybe you could just leave the piano in right at the start.. like if you do an intro to your track, set the scene with the pads and the piano, then bust the breaks in, and the bassline, and progress it from there? so the piano sets it up but say if a DJ were to play it then it wouldn't really be noticeable in the set.

dunno, there's no 'psy' kick persay, i'd string it together in a track with other elements and see how it sounds.
