We put their remix through as trance, but Beatport changed it to psytrance. I guess that may have something to do with the release being a psy exclusive???
Rysh, still waiting to hear back regarding your remix... must have gotten clogged up in the pipeline somewhere. Your name is still on the main release artist listing so I am positive it is just a glitch somewhere
We've made it to #37 on the charts this morning!
im curious, your track sells for 2 pound fifty, how much per sale goes to the artist?

25%. Anything else on digital and you're getting ripped.

Well yea. On digital your license with the label is 50/50. Obviously, the store has to make a profit so they take 50%. That leaves you with 25% to split amongst all the producers. Seems fair.
Hell of a lot better than in the old days with vinyl where you would get shit all.

in beatports case... you initially lose half of the income to the DSP (digital service provider)
from there it depends on what you contract states as to what % of royalties the artist gets back from that single sale..
then there are recoupable costs that have to come out of the artists share, also once again depends on the contract and what costs have been deemed recoupable....
