$13 for a movie!!! Damn is expensive..so I was gonna go next tuesday, BUT tuesday is x-mas...sooo...matinee during x-mas vacation? NOT BLOODY LIKELY!! I dunno when ill see it, but it is certain to be a killer...tho I think releasing it on a Wed will prevent it from beating Harry Potters 3 day record.

Saw a midnight showing last night too.
Great film. 3 hours is a long movie though, but well worth seeing it.
I'll probably go see it again sometime in a couple of weeks. Probably missed a lot of stuff in the film.
dude,I saw that movie last night, 'cause my brother works for a movie theather, we got in for free,
definately the best sci-fi movie ever made.
better than star wars, matrix, dungeons and dragons, and all the other crap movies

Well, i just came back from watching the movie, i won't bother commenting on the plot, as most of you have already read the book, let's just say the plot was accurate but not elaborative enough. the effects *drools* very nice . Not one boring moment in the movie, but some important details were left out...

my absoule favorite part of the movie is when legosa the elf STABS that orc with an arrow and then quickly shoots the one behind it.. that was cold-blooded bad-assness.

WOW, what a movie !
I just this minute got home from seeing Fellowship of the Ring, and it's simply amazing !
now that's coming from a die hard fan of the book which i 1st read 22 years ago, xmas 1979 !
I won't go into too much detail cos i don't want to spoil it for ppl who have not seen it yet.
For me they did miss out some of the good chapters, like the trip along the Withywindle and Tom Bombadil, they also skimmed over Frodo's 50th birthday and how Pippen and Merry got involved.
The Ringwraiths were terrifying just as they should be and the Balrog in the mines of Moria were just how i pictured it from reading the book.
The only problem i really have with the movie is that they cast Agent Smith from the Matrix as Elrond of Rivendel, and every time i saw him all i could think of was that any minute he was going to say
"Hello Mr Anderson" LOL
Overall 8/10, would have been a 9/10 except for Agent Smith
