Was talking to this guy at work, seemed pretty cool. Mentioned he sold chronic, so I took him up on it. He said $60 an eighth so I grabbed a 20 sack. It should have been 1.16 grams. He gave me a gram. I don't like confrontation so I didn't say anything. So it is partly my fault. I find it weird he told me how much it was though, because I couldn't eyeball the difference. It is pretty good weed. Smells strong, sticky, and a crap ton of trichromes. I find $60 an eighth already high, to get stiffed is even worse. Oh well.

if you've been lucky enough to deal with an honest dealer in the past that actually weighs and divides according to gross price, you're lucky.
in all my experience, when you say you want a 20, you get a gram. thats why 60 for 3.54 grams is a "deal" when you buy from guys who dish it out like this. you get the extra .54/g for free on that logic.
its pretty standard pricing for midwest sticky...don't be too bummed, you really didn't get ripped, you just didn't know the system he was using.
in cleveland if i want something REAL nice i pay 60+ easy.

You guys are both getting screwed. I've never dealt with shady people. Everybody I've bought through has always weighed right in front of me and the most I have ever paid for an eighth is $50, and that was for really good shit. The rest of the time I pay a standard $40 and walk away with some high-quality bud. I'd recommend finding new connects.

I never deal with shady people, and if someone skimped on me and ripped me off I damn well figure out some way to let them know, and I never go back to them.
Unfortunately, prices here in Atlanta are pretty steep on average.

Yeah. In my experience, it's completely acceptable to ask someone to weigh it out in front of you. If you think you're getting screwed when you're picking up then just ask. If it comes up short, either they'll give you more and you'll never buy from them again, or you can just walk out. You only get screwed if you let yourself get screwed.

Yep, if they aren't willing to weigh it in front of me, I simply ask for my money back and say I'm going elsewhere.
Even if it is blackmarket / illegal, there are certain things a dealer should do, and weighing the product for you is one of them.

Not really true. Most, if not all, people I usually buy from give me the exact weight proportional to the amount I paid, based on the price of an eighth. Some won't even take off a small piece if they have given me a little too much.

I agree, thats why I said it was partly my fault. I could have easily walked away. But I didn't, not really that anxious about it. Its just a little money and weed.
