I would kill to go back there... great time for the week I was there. My company sent me there to hire and train someone. The cost of living is so cheap for us (but perfectly normal for them, salaries are relative). I lived like a king while there.

yeah weekend market in recoleta is good, the first time

this is my third trip down, and things have definetely gotten much more expensive in the last couple of years- still cheaper of course, but only if you earn in dollars. plus with the way the dollar fluctuates here it can change monthly


the first time i was down, xmas/nye 06/07 was the best time ive had down here... opera bay club was still open, hit pacha a couple times, had friends here from aus, peru, mtl, us etc... absolute shenanigans


now im happy just to chill, eat, shop and chill- plus with the lady back at home, im not taking advantage of the local wildlife

we're takin a trip down to the glaciers in patagonia as well which is gonna be sweet. do a crampon walk etc, plus going to see boca juniors play tigre in the arg club final tomorrow @ racing stadium, should be sickkkkk

I hear ya... when HP announced no raises for anyone for 2009, my guy was panicking because of inflation there. Luckily, our company policy for heavily inflated countries, he salary will be adjusted to stay the same and keep up with inflation. He was freakin out for a week until I got the official word from HO.
