I bring it up because it just happened to me last night to perhaps the most absurd degree I've ever seen. I was just sitting at my computer, reading something online, and I noticed out of the corner of my eye that there was something on my shirt. So I look down and see a massive red stain, and upon further examination I discover that it's blood from a 5 inch long cut leading from my chest down to my abdomen. Then, and only then, does it start to actually hurt.
But for the life of me, I can't figure out how it could have possibly happened. There wasn't any physical damage to my shirt which I had been wearing all day basically. And if something gave me a huge cut like that, I'd intuitively expect that I'd notice. But apparently not.
Oh and as far as the cut goes, fortunately it wasn't too deep, but boy did it bleed a lot. I had to change the dressing six times last night, but it looked much better this morning and I think I'm going to get away without a scar. What bothers me more than the cut itself, is the fact that I can't figure out how it could have happened. |
Hmm, I ocasionally have a little cut here that I don't notice, especially when I'm being outdoors, but I never really sat at home and noticed a 5 inch fully bleeding cut on my body...
Maybe you have a split personality with the other half that enjoys hutring yourself..or maybe you are one of the victims of alien obductions..or maybe you're one of those people with a malformed sense of touch and pain..
