Lebezniatnikov is right, i am (actually was and will be since im between jobs at the moment) to balance a full time job, some pet projects of mine, school work and social life and i have lost my sanity ages ago.



In other news, it was a sad day yesterday. I am a big fan of books, as a child i always liked to read, i was (and still am) a great fan of science fiction and i loved the books by the great scifi legends such as Isaac Asimov, Robert A. Heinlein, Douglas Adams, Roger Zelazny and of course Arthur C. Clarke. And yesterday the last of these greats left us, ironically just a few days after he completed what he said will be his last novel. He will be missed.

Here's a stomper for you guys. It might be a bit hard for all your proggy assses though!!

On the 1 year anniversary of moving to Holland, I threw this mix together completely unplanned (just happened to be recording at the time). It was inspired by the sounds from labels like ARMS, Audio Assault, Planet Rhythm and artists like OGI, Bas Mooy and the whole Arms / Audio Assualt gang. I hadn't ever heard these kinds of heavy off-beat tracks before. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't have lumped all the OGI tunes together at the start, but like I said, it was unplanned and I thought it all fit together pretty well.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy it - and since this is really my first proper posted mix, any constructive criticism is appreciated.

Ugh, 121 hours of work in nine straight days. This paycheck is going to be niiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

But I completely missed my Spring Break and now have two papers to write on Burma and the Comprehensive Peace Agreement in S. Sudan.

Oh, and I think I'm going to do a research project on the correlation between listening to trance and developing radical (and sometimes paranoid) political views. Because this place is getting crazy.

What do you do for a living?

I'm taking a philosophy class and I have chosen for our 5 person team paper "Avrim Noam Chomsky"... ! I wrote the outline, and they will follow it. Hopefully, it'll be good enough to post here.

What do you think about the changes of music taste over time? I have noticed, both of myself and some others, that when I first started listening to EDM, I wanted anthemic, Tiesto'y club trance, etc. Then as I got older, I moved to deeper trance, drum n bass, happy hardcore, etc. After that, I moved straight into progressive. I listen mostly to progressive trance, chillout, and drum n bass. So how does one explain a progression of tastes from the more mainstream to more and more underground sounds?
