ok i just had to do this.... its quite fascinating actually, for a standard softwood door (pine, fir, spruce) assuming a structrual grad of 2 for the wood, you can assume a modulus of elasticity of about 11000MPa. assuming a dimension of the doorway of 1500mm x 40mm (cross section), the moment of inertia is aproximatlye 8.0e^6 mm^4. By law of equilibrium (since we can model this door as a cantilever) this means a force of 1.2 KN is developed on teh door handle (277 lbs). you will quickly find that turning a smooth door handle with 277 lbs acting against the latch mechanism is virtually impossible. even with a T handle design it is very prohibitive... especially since by using a claw hammer you can jam as many as 8 pennies into the door jam. and if you are really cruel, you jam both the top and bottom making the force double.

they have two pretty good grad schools in arts programs, the norman patterson school of public affairs and policy management, and the Eric Sprott school of business. i really dont know much about their grad programs, sorry.

but ya i went there for my undergrad....

No, I have a lot of real life friends and if it weren't for them, life would be terribly dull.

I think that you should get some new friends. Superficial people are lame.

I'd like to think that there's a huge fundamental difference between trusting your close friends and trusting a government which has already proven itself to be easily abused by crooked politicians who have no loyalty to anything but money. I don't think that you're someone that should be talking about having mental issues.
