Yeah, there is are few properties that I am going to go look at. There is a 3 bedroom 2 bath wood frame house that has a detached 2 car garage, its a cozy 2 story. 250K Plus I could lease out the garage apt to some Uni student to help subsidize the mort.....the plus for this is all solid wood flooring and a beautiful view of downtown Austin from the breakfast nook and master bedroom. The area is a very nice, laid back area that I call the Shire due in part it is green and beautiful trees in every lot. I am still not to far from work and I am just a few blocks down from downtown Austin.
It looks promising......

As long as it hasn't got termites or dryrot in it, sounds good. Do you need such a big house though?

Just saw the flyer to this, they are showing at a local theater here in ATX tonight: Looks pretty Good. I think I am going to try to see this, looks interesting and plus all the Old Ass Djs are featured.
Exactly what Carl Cox is sying was the way I started out with a bunch of others, running and hiding from the cops , getting in trouble No Laws, No Kids ODing and just pure bliss....... ahhh the days of old when Djing and raving were actually fun.......
I guess its making its rounds across the US. but it looks very interesting..Note that its called LIQUID VINYL and not LIQUID CD or LIQUID MP3s with a hack using a Mac and putting the real Djs in a bind due to some young punk with a shit load of Limewire MP3s....... ooops
Crowds were moved to ecstasy as the first superstar DJs emerged out of the gay underground New York City club scene in the '80s. The cult of the DJ and dance music traversed the globe, revolutionizing the dance floor with electrifying sounds, pumping beats and elevating crescendos - inspiring all in its path to dance with unabated joy. Suddenly DJs were playing to crowds in the thousands, then tens of thousands and finally to over 1.5 million at the infamous Love Parade in Berlin. LIQUID VINYL brings together the DJs, the people behind the scene and the dancers from the floor that all ultimately share in the magic of the music. It's not just about glow sticks and the grinding beat, but a whole culture defined by their love of dance music and an artist that can take a box full of records, mix them together and literally spin the dancer into oblivion.
"Helmer/co-producer Taylor Neary interweaves commentary from a veritable who's-who of notable DJs, with emphasis on East Coast purveyors and itinerant Brits who worship the late, great Larry Levan, groundbreaking'80s record-spinner at Manhattan's Paradise Garage. Memorable interviewees range from ultra-spirited Carl Cox ("You know that when you've got the doorman dancing, you're having a good night!") to drum-and-bass pioneer Goldie (flamboyant music producer-DJ who branched into acting in Guy Ritchie's SNATCH) to living legend Tony Humphries (credited with defining the New Jersey club sound at the legendary Zanzibar)." (Joe Leydon, Variety)

Well as far as dance music goes I prefer techno or electro house (not the cheesy stuff, the Gigolo Records type stuff)

Because MD is full of shallow types who mostly only listen to EDM and music which was produced in the last month. Oh, and the obligatory 'Trance is dead' from the more jaded, bitter and boring
Oi! I just grew up and got into more mature types of dance music!!!

What do you expect him to say in a room full of teenage delinquents in Manchester?
The man just wants to pick up his paycheck, live through the walk back to his car and not get a shiv stuck in him at the end of the day!

This is one of the Houses I was looking at. It is the front runner in the choices......
don't know yet if I am going to take the plunge into buying a house, been thinking about it, Its a 50-50 in my mind.
Its in Hyde Park, just above the University here in Austin, so that when ever I leave Austin I can rent it out. the Owner was telling me that he rents it out for $3200 a month to Uni students. It is a 4 bedroom and he charges $800 a person.
4br 2 bath with a large dining area and a double garage attached that has an apt above it that he rents out for $770 a month.
He basically makes about $2100 over his monthly mortgage. There is a little bit of foundation repair needed, but hell, its not like I "don't know" people or even have relatives in that business. It looks like an easy repair job, I saw no structure damage from the small crack in the foundation. But going to have my Uncle Bob come take a look at the foundation and see what the bill will be to fix it. He works for Cable Lock Foundation repair here in Texas and will give me the truth about how much.
