Guys, is it just me or do we need a moderator for PDD? Since Lira left, things have gone somewhat downhill. A moderator should regularly browse or "moderate" PDD, which is why I propose that one of the regulars should be moderator, preferably one of the older regulars who's been around for a while. A few possible candidates who come to mind are occrider, Trancer-X, trancaholic and ogvh5150. What do you guys think? I think a new moderator should be appointed in the absense of Lira.
p.s. I miss Lira.
coup and neo are almost always at typing reach to me, and the official response regarding moderation in the pdd is that the pdd is self moderated and hardly needs a dedicated mod.

Yeah, it is definitely better without some mod closing lots of threads (imo a thread should never be closed in the PDD unless its really off topic), however, many times it would be nice if topics were merged about the same issues. Not a big issure though and I think we are doing fine right now

Ya, I like it this way too. If you need a mod you can PM them, otherwise do what I do, and tell the n00bs to shoo!
Works everytime!

Btw, if any PDDers have netflix, don't hesistate to add me to your friends list. I'd be curious to see what others are watching. Lately I've been watching a lot of foreign films (mostly from central/south america and japan) because they fully embrace some controversial themes that hollywood won't touch, and American independants rarely touch. Themes such as poverty, revenge, animal cruelty, incest, etc., with a healthy doses of brutal violence to accompany each one. That and only the best goddamned documentary series on aquatic life ever produced (BBC's Blue Planet series).
Anyway my recent watch list have included:
City of God, Old Boy, Carandiru, Amores Perros, Audition, etc.
email addy is simply oc----(something or other)@gmail

Yea netflix is only US based, but there's talk of expanding into Europe. It's horribly addictive because you get access to whole slew of excellent films that you wouldn't know where to find in a blockbuster if they're even there.
