Are you joking? Four people, with no technical qualifications, giving "guidelines" to how systems applying AI should be set up in the future - spurred on by the science fiction idea of "seed AI"?

The big question is how people like these can get funding for something as ridiculous as this, when highly skilled students around the world cannot get a ph.d-grant.

i just read the general stroke of it, sorry

but comparing to a ph.d grant? lets say the same people who donate to that project would instead donate to a ph.d grant for you. what does this lead to? at best, you get the ph.d, and? go on to make a nifty salary and live on?
