I'll be in San Fran tomorrow... I'm excited! A little bit nervous though because I'll be in the city by myself for two days but I think I can handle it.

Oh I am!
My official move date to San Fran is the 18th, tomorrow I am going to finish up paperwork and find a place to stay and whatnot. Until then I'm in Northern California, I have a lot of doctors appointments and whatnot...

I used to live in Newark (in the Bay Area, north of San Jose, east of Palo Alto and an hour drive from San Fran). The Bay Area's awesome. You're lucky to be moving there. I sooo want ot move back once I graduate.

My bunkmate. No seriously there were lizards in my cabana. They kept the mosquitos away. Better than any roomate I had in college.
Awesome pic there. I take it that the lizards in your room was a little smaller than this one?
Mexico might be beautiful, but your own country is brimful of fantastic views too. Here's a couple of pics from my trip round New England these last weeks (and being a computer scientist I have of course scaled them down):
Americans seem to be very adept at prettifying everyday items.
The whirlpool at Niagra. Was the most impressive thing I'd seen all year for about half an hour.
But then I saw the falls at Niagra.
Vermont. I think we saw about 10-20 people driving through this state.
Acadia. Due to my dad's bad eyesight and a smudgy sign we endeavoured on a journey around this huge lake, expecting the trip to be around two kilometers. Of course it turned out to be much longer, and once again I would damn the stubborn fool for not getting some eyeglasses.
The view from the tallest mountain in Acadia. Pretty.
There's so much variety to the vistas at Acadia.
How charming. That's how wooden buildings should be constructed. Much better than ugly red huts they have in Sweden (). Blends in nicely with the fog too.
I'll never tire of admiring modern skyscrapers.
I also dig them from afar.
Bonus picture - not pretty, but one of the funniest rollercoasters I ever rode. Btw. this is the third picture of me on TA.

Somehow i doubt it... At least i guess your experience New york vs Ålborg (or was it? ), is very different from my Örebro vs Stratford.
But yeah, its always nice getting back anyhow... especially if you still have lots of friends home waiting for you (which i assume you do if you are not some kind of internet loonie )
and clearly the swedish red houses are a lot more beutiful, just judge for youself:

I just got back from spending two days in San Fran and I have to say I am in love. The school I will be attending is amazing. I think I spent most of the informative tour with my jaw on the floor. All the available labs were insane, all the equipment that's provided!!! I'm in love with the city, and I'm in love with the school. I could not be a happier biddy right now.
Now the only thing I'm frustrated with is the fact that my financial aide is having problems. I have to find a way to raise 24000$ for just this year. I'm sitting on the phone with FASFA right now, because something just doesn't seem right. They're trying to "correct" all the information. BASTARDS

Yea somewhat smaller but still big enough that I wouldn't want to pick one up.
