Yeah, I agree, if you have some disputes on any area, your "the one" isn't really "the one".
Anyway, this totally cool thing happened to me now. Yesterday there was a storm here and it caused one big old tree (say 100 years) to snap. So this morning some workers came and cut it all the way down and drove it away in parts. And just now I was walking my dog and she started digging through the stump. I looked at what she was digging, and in the middle of the stump was a small hole. And from that hole she dug out some police or fireman badge that seems to be some 100 or so years old judging by the crest on it and everything. Probably austrohungarian, maybe royal yugoslavian...

Eh I worded that incorrectly. I should have typed it: What if your "the one" isn't particularly religious herself, but her family is? She has no problem with your beliefs but her family won't accept you if you aren't of their religious persuasion.
Ah, in that case: I would probably put on the facade, although I hope I could resist, and simply say "respect my beliefs and I'll respect yours".

That would require me to read far more bullshit than I could hope to cope with, so no thanks. It just seemed to me that she could pretty much say whatever she liked whereas her henchmen could say whatever they liked as long as it didn't conflict with Slylee?

Haha the introduction of occam's razor was fucking brilliant. At least he finally caught on to the joke (well sorta caught on). Moral Hazard stopped replying to my rediculous posts finally. I don't understand, he knew I was joking, but he kept replying seriously hehe.

Btw. it's quite impressive how the COR hordes uncritically jumps in to "save" a thread using their empty talk just because it's started by Slylee. Is she the only one who calls the shots in the COR these days?
Yea a lot of the BS was actually pretty creative and entertaining. The subsequent posts to "save" the thread are almost mindless.
"So ... I dreamed about a potato last night ... discuss!"

True. I have a severely religious family, and me being the complete opposite is still difficult for them to accept. Should I ever choose to marry, I know I will not wed in a church. I expect my family to disown me.

Basically. It's her and a few others. It's a little mini COR clique, but sadly, this "clique" happens to be filled with absolute morons. (Or, MorAns - that's for you occ ) Should you disagree with what they say, or call any of them out on it, be prepared to be bombarded by a dozen of them.

Oh sure, I wouldn't mind initially putting up the pretenses of pretending I'm religious. Just so my "the one" doesn't get flak from her family. Over time though, her family would ideally accept who I am. I dunno, it's never been a problem since the parents of everyone I've dated have all been hundreds of miles away.

So the more I read about Scientology, the more I see it as a sort of cult.

Honestly I think you should persuade him to switch instead of letting himm persuade you to switch. Especially when you say he's soft
Anyway, did anyone notice how every single thread's last responder is metalgearsolid? The guy's on a rampage or something.

Oh, I'm not going to switch. Hell no. And I don't know if he's "the one", I kind of don't believe in such things. He's my best friend, who just realized his feelings. Ha ha. He would never dream of asking me to switch, I just wonder if his parents would want me to. I don't know how deeply into the religion they are.
