BBC Matrial Arts 'Dcoumentary' excerpt - Kiai Strike
An esoteric kiai strike, cool stuff . Not your conventional simple kaiai, which is nothing more than breathing out (while striking, any martial artist knows the importance of proper breathing). Kaiai's a japanese term for the noise made during combat. Making a sharp sounds not only helps with breathing all air out when striking, but putting all your energy in to a strike... making it a noticeably more powerful. But this is something altogether completely different, and totally awesome. Watch the guy ring a temple bell with it.

I forgot who else mentioned this group here..
A sample of what the infamous live set from DC's Thievery Corporation is like. The official "sizzle reel" with "Warning Shots" as the featured track. I first heard them back in 98 or so.... pretty frigging good and their live shows are really cool.

A few photos from my trip to Prague last weekend:
We stumbled upon a German / Poland / Czech Lotus 7 owners club meet in the big square across from the old palace:
^ this is Lotus 7 chassis # 27 built by Graham Hill and Keith Duckworth (the gearheads will know those names). buddy still races this fantastic piece of history
^ this is a Westfield Megabusa. It's a Lotus 7 kit car with a Suzuki Hayabusa sportbike motor and Quaife6-speed sequential gearbox. I talked to the owner at length about it and he says that the car is just a complete nutter (which I firmly believe)
