I prefer just a damn good mixer and turntables personally. Most of the music I like is older (late 90's until around 2006) and the stuff I still enjoy always gets pressed too so I can always find it on vinyl.
Having said that, it's only a hobby for me and I respect the technology of Traktor and Serato, and CDJ's of course.
I grabbed downloads of Traktor and Ableton but couldn't get my shitty laptop to talk to my external soundcard correctly in order to use my proper mixer instead of the software mixer on either software. The computer mixer just lacks the "feel".
I tried to move from turntables to mixing all internally on the computer. That only lasted for a year or two before I decided I wanted to go with external decks and the computer.

This may seem kind of random, and even weird to many of you. But I'd like to apologize to all of you for being a massive fucking jerk at times I have been, even though I probably don't consciously recognize it or am necessarily ware of it... at least on those occasions. Peace.

It's called the evolution of language. It's the same reason we no longer speak Old English.

Actually, I have a psuedo-excuse as I attended a British secondary school system... yup, that's right... I took the O'Levels and A'Levels exams too , well... not A'Levels, only 1 year of that. But I get confused all the time about spelling as I'm kind of used to both British and American English, at least British English in an academic setting. Sometimes it drives me nuts when I think I'm spelling a word wrong but it's actually correct given the "dialect" for lack of a better termm so I lack consistency there more often than not .
