well, a lot of the stuff has a signature of 4-4, even if the beats arent in a 4-4 pattern. i find mixing a breakbeat with a 4-4 to be easier than mixing two 4-4's. basically you only have to pay attention to 1 beat per bar, instead of 4

I don't know why... like people that climb the fence in a zoo and go hug a bear or something.

Croc eats 'irritating' boy
April 23, 2007 - 12:52PM
The remains of a missing nine-year-old boy who "irritated" a group of crocodiles with a catapult and sticks in China have found in one of the reptile's bellies.
The crocodile, shot to death in south China during a search for the missing student, was found to contain the child's remains, the official Xinhua News Agency said.
The child, surnamed Liu, disappeared Friday after he and three other children climbed over the fence around a pool in the park that had been used to stage crocodile shows, Xinhua said.
"The children shot the animals with catapults and beat them with wooden sticks," the agency said.
"One of the irritated crocodiles bit Liu's clothes and dragged him into water, where he was eaten by a swarm of crocodiles."
The crocodile was shot on Saturday in a park in Beihai, a city in the Guangxi region, by investigators looking for the missing child.
Investigators confirmed that human remains found in the reptile were that of the student, the report said.
Snipers used pork to lure the reptiles from the pool on Saturday and shot the first one that crawled ashore, the report said.
No other details were given, and it wasn't immediately clear what would happen to the other crocodiles.
Local residents said the park's owner had hired a keeper for the crocodiles, but it was not clear why the man was not at the site when the students broke in, the report said.
The manager and the keeper were being held by police.

Isn't most breaks 4-4?

I follow the snare in and not the bass kick, technically most D&B is still 4-4, it just has 1-2-33-4.
2 & 4 being the snare or kick drum and 1 & 3 the syncopated drum kicks off the measure... course it's been about 10 years since music classes in school so I may be wrong!

Mixing House into Break is quite simple, as Lilith stated, use the snare to match.
http://lazfx.com/media/sample.wav
you can hear exactly what I mean with the sample above.
You can actually hear the bass drum is not the main focal of the mix, but yet the snare. THats what gives it that; boom, snare, boom, boom, boom, snare, boom, snare, boom, boom, boom and so forth. I would not recomend learning from that. The ability to mix like that comes with getting just the basic beat matching down. Once you get that, than you can start messing with other aspects of beat mixing.
Now of course this means nothing, if you are strictly an "MP3" Jocky...

...or just suck at it badly like me. Can't sort of figure on lashing out on 5k worth of music/DJ bits though as I'd probably get bored of it after a month.

Hey hey! Final scratch jockey with unreleased .wav rips .
EDIT: Purchased LEGALLY I might add . Still using ancient technology Laz ?
EDIT: Yeah, nice tip on mixing breaks in to a set. I've done it before and it's actually quite simple after a few tries . What other styles/sub-generes do you mix in your set dude (other than electro and tech house ofcourse)?

I think Lilith, even though my taste is competely different, has pretty good taste in music and her sets indicate to me atleast that she could make a pretty decent DJ with a fairly original style. So yeah, keep practicing Lilith. And if you have the motivation, buy some equipement eventually, even if you plan on doing it just as a hobby or something on the side.
EDIT: Basic beatmatching just takes a bit of practice, there more often you practice, the better. Other DJing and mixing skills are also that'll come with time. Simply put, if you really enjoy it, keep at it!
