LOL, what are you talking about? Maintstream rap/hiphop has always been a joke .
Not True Rap or Hip hop, just like EDM, there is cheese, but lately the past 10 years Rap has became Crap.
Acts Like Jedi Mind Trick, Mos Def, Blackalicious, Roots, Common(before the gap commercial), Q-Tip and a host of others still hold true to the original shape and style that made hip hop what it was. A story, a hook and then the groove. Today's hip hop is all about the bling and bitches and hoes..... disgusting....
Check out some Spoken Word or the next time there is a Poetry Jam at the Uni. Some great stuff and deep shit......
unless you are totally against the whole rap thing,,, I would recommend any of the above acts to check out. Its nice to be eclectic in one's musical tastes..
wouldn't you agree??

I've actually never really hear any good hiphop or rap, but I take other people's word for underground hiphop/rap being pretty good, people I've come across with good taste in music .
Speaking of good music, add this to your collection Laz:
16 Bit Lolitas - Destiny

I know nobody really cares, but I just got an awesome job offer!!
Damn, now I have to go back to work after being off since Feb 16th. I wish I would have received my records & gear sooner than a week ago.
It's funny. I know that some / all of my friends were apprehensive of this move at first, and honestly it was a huge gamble. But now after this offer, I end up with a mad raise and get to live in Europe.
I guess fortune really does favour the bold....

Thanks!
It's a logistics / supply chain management job for a large electronics company. Their head offices are actually in California, so who knows, maybe I'll find myself travelling there for work sometime.
It's similar to what I was doing in Montreal, except that was 3rd party logistics and transportation. So now I'm on the other side of the logistics business, working from within a company instead of working on behalf of other companies (like Bridgestone, Goodyear, ConAgra Foods --- some of my old customers).
I'm really excited for it.
It should be a good challenge.
