Its all of MTVs fault, my oldest was raised on my favs and she use to love House Music, she still does, but you know how teens are swayed by thier buddies (focking peer presure man, thats why I partake of the magic herb , it was all of Tyrone's fault back when I was 12) . She can mix and was learing and loving mixing D&B and Jungle. She learned how to beat match with out a beat counter and it was grand. At 13-14 she was learning quick.... then she started to hangout with these IDIOTS and due to me moving to Austin, I only was able to see her on the regular 2 weekends a month type. During that short year, she totally changed from Promoting me to all her school mates, (she was a celeb at her junior high cause her daddy had a FM radio mix show that all the kids/teachers use to listen to so I guess she was cool lol) She has turned into a MTV Clone. grrrrr Even watches the Real World and Road Rules. But then again, she goes to a semi private school in a small town outside of Houston.....out in the boondocks, so it could be worse. She could like ****ry Redneck Music or Mexican Tejano crap. If that was the case, I would sign my rights away to her. ha ha

[old guy pep talk]
turning 30 isn't that bad....just keep in shape or if you are not, START NOW, ha ha
Also don't let anyone ever tell you are too old. I hate that when someone say to me, you are like 30+ why do you listen to that type of music. Especially from some punk ass little college kid that hasn't got off of thier mum's tit. When did turning older make your taste in music change??
Also when you turn 30, a magical thing happens, you start to realize that the World is different than what you thought it was.....
Gone is that know it all college aged child and out comes a learned, wise person that understands that not everything is as bad as your college professors made it out to be. Chomsky is an idiot and the West is not as bad as your college prof made it out to be...Little things younger people say will make you smile and remember when you thought that way.....(and what a big surprise they are in once they get into the "real" world) Everything you though was important before takes a back seat to sorting your life out.
Or you could be like me, have a degree and realize that the 48+ grand of student loans you took out was stupid. Especially if you are not even working in the field that you went to college for. hindsight is so 20/20

Thirty you say Pkc? I can see you embracing the old 30 year old yuppie lifestyle donning a pair of wayfarers taking the missus salsa dancing lessons and all the other vulgar things people in their 30's do.
PKC next year

O'Calla in 10...
Seriously, what's wrong with dancing?
I used to hate turning up to ballroom or ballet and there would be no partner or you'd have to basically knock the one you had over the head with a rolling pin, stuff him in the boot unconscious and hope he didn't wake up before you arrived to the place

HAHAHAHA. I look nothing like that, but it's a good picture.
Have a touched a raw nerve with the dancing treacle?
I always rip the dancing because I went to a company function at some members club about two years ago. I saw a couple of my yuppie like colleagues literally creaming themselves looking at some board containing the clubs Agenda. 'Oh Salsa dancing on Thursday where can I sign up?'.

Nothing like that.... YET!
Uncultured oik!
Nope, I sold off fairly much all my dance dresses and shoes ages ago, lack of decent partner who wouldn't stomp on my dainties and a knee which is a bit wonky from falling over in the snow a few years ago trying to ski after half a dozen scotches.
Can still splash it out for about half an hour but I'll regret it the next day when it swells up and end up hobbling around like I've been kicked by a horse.
There is nothing like Salsa, Tango or prancing around doing the Cha Cha.
Shoooooot I love dancing like that, especially with a woman that is like 5 foot, 100lbs and has a toned body. Ummm the movements, the smell of her sweet sweat. The way she looks into my eyes when I dip her and the way that our bodys press up agaisnt each other with the heat of bodies just mixing into a fusion of pure lust and excitement................................

eeeew!
Bucket of icewater for the latino, clean up on aisle 1 in the ladies section...
Seriously though, if you don't have 2 left feet, some co-ordination, need a good cardio workout, you can do worse than take up dancing to meet ladies than going to some dirty singles bar where you can catch Hep A off the glasses and browse the things that John West reject.
