Holden, Sasha, and Sander K are amazing live.
Well, I take that back. They were 2-4 years ago... the last time I went to anything edm related has to have been over 2 years now. So I don't really know how they are anymore. |
Damn good ! Although I've never seen them live, Texas not exactly being an EDM hotspot , I didn't really get into their stuff until recently. I must admit I though their last mix compilations were crap the first few times I listened to them, but after a few listens they really grew on me and I absolutely love 'em (along with tons of other stuff by Holden and Sasha from the earlier days I hadn't listened to much). And Nick Warren is hands down the my favourite (and most consistent) DJ ever. I'm one of those who started listening to trance (the good old stuff) a little late and was pretty jaded for a while, considering how alot of the great DJs and producers of the late 90s/early 2000s went to shit (like Tiesto, Oakey, etc). But Sasha and Holden's experimental, original, and progressive styles rejuvinated my interest in EDM (and by progressive, I mean what the term actually means, not the pretentious label given to boring deep thumpy EMD ).
Here a relatively recent Holden set I uploaded if you wanna check it out
James Holden - Live @ Fuse, Belgium (03-18-06)
@tathi: Grab this set. I've been addicted to it since I got it.
