Camping in Ontario

Know any good places to camp within Ontario. If you do, Please share with us.
I am looking for a campsite this summer for me and a bunch of my friends.

I highly suggest Mara Provincial Park on Lake Simcoe up north. Best beach I've seen in Ontario, and a truly beautiful area to be in.

killbear provincial park, 45 north of parry sound. Great beaches, in the midst of the 30000 island. there are several islands in canoing distance (some quite private tons of hiking, semi-private sites, ful facilities. And theres Harold point; a penisula that has tons of rock jumping. best i've seen in Ontario. U hafta enter at yer own risk (seen several nasty falls) but theres various heights, for beginners (elephants butt) to pros (suicide and insanity)

cypress lake or bruce penisula national park, just south of tobermory...the water is freezing, but it is incredibly beautiful, and most important, great rock-jumping. There are also underwater grottos, good hiking, a shallow beach area, dog swim. It is (i think) the leading area in Ontario for scuba diving, due to the grottos and wrecks off the coast. Tobermory is 20 mins away. very quaint village, with some great touristy shops, restaurants and a harbour for charters.

Yeah Killbear is a wicked place to camp to bad its provincial so they dont allow u to drink as much as on private ones, but still u got to improvise with the alcohol if you drink, they dont come and check it often maybe once at night and u can see them coming anyway from far away.
Cliffs are wicked there, and yeah u got go on ur own risk, jumped few times, have to say on those cliffs the big ones its pretty deep. If u wanna go and get some camp sites try to book them now or u wont get them later on, its always packed for the summer there.

Another one that I reccommend is Pakwash pretty far cause all the way past Red Lake close to Manitoba border, but still its pretty nice place to go hiking but u need the whole week if u wanna stay there cause no point driving so far to come back in three days or so.

You got that right Andrea. Bruce peninsula is absolutely gorgeous. Really nice camp sites and trails everwhere!! Couldn't ask for a better camping spot.

OH YEA... this is where we used to go every year as a family! fuckn beautiful... not the best if u figure ull be getting loud adn shit tho.. it really is a family massive campground and the OPP do patrol it... tho ive only seen them once or twice and i think it was bc someone found a rattler in their camp site and they came to help deal w/ that.

now usually when we go, we go to a place called Maple Ridge in Miller Lake... its not nearly as nice... but we can set up shop there and the ppl who run it know us know and dont mind when we come and cause all the freakin' noise that we cause... camping always involves alot of acohol and weed and shrooms! hence we are a very loud bunch when u get like 14-18 of us.

i love camping, cant wait to do some more of that this summer... we're thinking of bring a generator and maybe even setting up some decks... heheheheh, thatd be uber sweet, we'll hafta see whut happens!!

Thats why you have to go to the French River. Tons of free camping spots along the river. You pick which ever spot suits you best and camp there. Tons of cliff jumping spots. The bonus......you can drink all you want

Havent been to too many different ones, but for the past 3 years my friends and I have become regulars at Pinery Provincial Park. Its right by Lake Huron. If you get the sites closest to the dunes they're the best. Go towards the beginning or end of a season and miles of beach are all yours!
