start one... many people think they can't do it but you'd be surprised. i'm very serious to, make a goal to meet with a few club managers in the next month and see if you can just get a 1 night a week/month going.

there is nothing better than smaller nights opening up, it is so healthy for the scene

hahahhaha. I guess this post does apply to me

Oh there's a scene...if you like to see stuff on there internet. So far everything i found was kiddie raves. if you live near pheonix there seems to be LITTLE hope. somebody decent my pass here and there. Headliners usually play during the weekdays. Now you know why i'm a proud member of the I HATE ARIZONA ALLIANCE!

Well i'm in Arizona a lot and possibly considering moving to the scottsdale area, so just wondering what kind of scene i'm looking at. Guess i'll need to start my own one it seems.

This area hasn't been as good since Club Freedom closed last year. Oakey, Van Dyk, Digweed, etc. played there...and on the weekend, too. Myst has been picking up the slack lately with some decent names lately. DJ Icey, Bad Boy Bill, Jon Bishop and others have been here in the past month or so. Richard Humpty Vission played at Next in last night. Tiesto was here in December, but it was also a weeknight. DJ Irene played at Axis-Radius before that. I believe Donald Glaude is playing in Tucson next week. It's not LA, but you could do a lot worse.

think there'd be an audience for a weekly. As i would be more than happy to spin a weekly event.

so is there room to create a scene. I wouldn't mind doing the weekly residency thing. Anyone know if theres anything like that or would it need to be created. Basicly what i'm asking is there enough demand for a club to hold a weekly or bi weekly

I couldn't tell ya man, I've only lived here since sept, and I'm moving in 5 weeks to LA. You'd probably have a better chance in a larger market, but if you're stuck here, go for it. I have a group of friends that would be interested in going for sure, and they're not moving anytime soon.

azinfoline.com is one of the best (and only)AZ message boards. I dont know, havnt been to any raves in AZ since i been here. Phoenix is further from me then Vegas so I go there to kick around. There aint too much to do out here, lots and lots of desert... which equals lots and lots of room for desert parties. I've only lived out here for about two months, and am only speaking from the Point of View of someone who sees it AS IT IS, so far.......

THERE IS DEFINITE POTENTIAL OUT HERE IF YOU'RE INTO THROWING KICK ASS PARTIES!!!!!!

________Thats your question right?_______

you just gotta have the motivation and the resources it takes to throw a party, MONEY

Good Luck, hit me up if you need a Dj in the future if you decide on coming out here
