ADHD medicine. I knew many healthy normal individuals who took it so that they could focus whilest studying. To be honest i've thought about using it too, but it's a stimulant so I haven't.

like the time tested phrase says...
'procrastination is like masturbation. It seems like a good idea at the time, but you're really only fucking yourself'
Repeat that phrase when you think you should be studying. Either you'll end up studying, or you'll end up with a very sore wrist.

Ya I've heard that works like a charm, only downside is that you might focus on studying, but then actually forget everything since studying doesn't do any good if you don't get rest inbetween.
hmm and I know for a fact if you drink alot of coffee to stay up you shouldn't add any suger, it'll burn you out.
Wake up really early in the morning and study, since there's no distractions, and your mind is clear. DOn't know if you'll get a sore wrist though....
Procrastination wins the end anyways, you can't fight it.

My tried and tested technique is to have a million and six things on the go... and important stuff. It all must be done at the same time. I flip through a bunch of different things, always putting one off for the other, but eventually getting pretty much everything done!
A solution that works for me. YMMV.

seriously, I swear, I wanna get my hands on some ridilin or something. I really wanted to see if it would help me focus studying. There are so many times where I think I become distracted far too easily, and I wanted to see if it could help me out without getting diagnosed with ADHD, or ADD.
- EDIT -
Hey PC....I know you're pretty good with knowledge of all these random drugs n' stuff, you know where I can find some black market focusin? If you read this thread that is...

I tend to motivate myself via stimulants.. but I don't recommend it for the majority of people.
1) Long periods of central nervous stimulation lead to even longer downtimes. Furthermore, some people try to shorten such downtime through increased stimulant use.. this can be disasterous to his/her physical/mental health.
2) Although stimulants motivate you to work, sometimes they also inhibit your ability to create insightful and creative work. Stimulants are good if you already know what you are doing, but if you are trying to formulate a well thought out essay they might cloud your reasoning. I try to write an outline and do the majority of the needed reasearch before I sit down to write the actual essay.
