This is what trance should be all about!
Spijtig genoeg is de trance van nu bij lange niet meer zo goed, en gooit bijna elke producer een voorspelbare supersaw breakdown in zen song en klaar.
CL bewijst dat je geen machtige breakdowns nodig hebt om goede trance te maken.
Is wel een cd met ouder werk van hem maar kvind het machtig.
Check ook zen 'All or Nothing' cd van vorig jaar! Daar bewijst hij opnieuw dat trance van tegenwoordig OOK anders kan.
Hij heeft zijn plaats in de top 100 DJ Mag niet gestolen imo.

- "Neon", "Viola" & "Labyrinth" are ofcourse very good, nuff said.

- The bassline in "The Nord Song" is killing me, fucking nice

- "Anagram" is pretty good also, nice buildup with vocals and very nice melody and when the vocals kick back in it sounds really cool.

- "1AD" = AMAZING. Best new track of the album. Hypnotising buildup with some nice piano samples. Then comes some crazy (japanese or something) sounding vocals in the break, only increasing the hypnotising effect and then the tune takes off again. amazing stuff. trance that takes you to other worlds for sure, this is what trance is all about for me!

- "5 Wishes And More" is maybe the less good new tune, but not by any means bad. Very decent track, gets me in a party mood. Little more laid-back then the other tracks and more melodic. Good production.

Only bad thing is that they included that Viola 2005 remix. Could have included a remix of their own, which would have been much better.

But all in all this is a very good CD and worthy of purchase imo!

CD2 heeft inderdaad een paar interessante tracks, maar er staan er 17 op, dus dat zegt genoeg over de duur van de tracks...

ja maar wil toch niet altijd iets zeggen. Op fabric 21 staan 18 tracks en dat is een bom cd. CD1 van balance 005 heeft ook 16 tracks...

^ Dat zijn ook compleet andere stijlen hé. Holden heeft een paar tools en bridge "tracks" gebruikt voor Balance, gewoon dingen die niet echt als volwaardig nummer er opgezet worden, eerder als overgang tussen andere nummers. Zelfde bij de Fabric cd, sommige nummers in dat genre hoeven nu eenmaal geen 7 minuten te spelen. Maar trance, das iets anders! Ge kunt toch geen trance-plaat knippen en verkorten tot ze amper 3 minuten duurt? Zeker die eerder progressive plaatjes, das gewoon verkrachting als ge die zo kort laat spelen of edits ervan gebruikt...

Nu ja, het is gemixt met Ableton live, dus ik ben wel eens benieuwd. Ik heb er gewoon niet al te veel hoop in
