Hey all...

Just wanted to get some suggestions on the best CDs / livesets that really capture those "eras" above...

2002 altho not too long ago had a lot of great vocal/melodic tracks released... Esp the whole bunch of Armin remixes that came out (Solid Sessions - Janeiro, Riva - Time Is The Healer, Solar Stone - Seven Cities, Shane - Too Late To Turn, etc etc)... Also his own tracks in Sunburn, Dust.wav, Clear Blue Moon... I'm sure there are more to add to this list too?

Also you had Tiesto's Southern Sun remix + also his other tracks like Magik Journey, Close To You, etc... The first Oceanlab tracks came out... Ferry remixed Clear Blue Water beautifully Also he released Gouryella - Ligaya...

And on top of these other awesome tracks like Rapid Eye - Circa Forever + uhhh... mental block! Grrrrr! I'm sure you guys could add way more to this list...

Was there any one CD / liveset that captured the best of these tracks and put them all onto one compilation? I'm not really looking for something that only had a few of these tracks but a WHOLE bunch of them?!


Also with the 98/99 time as well... This was pretty much the time that I really started to plug into trance... And as such there are many many tracks from this time that are just absolute classics to me (+ I'm sure some of you guys too)...

Things like Lost Tribe - Gamemaster (might be earlier than 98?), System F - Out Of The Blue, Paul van Dyk - For An Angel, Blank + Jones - Cream... Gouryella - Gouryella... Lange - I Believe, Lost Witness - Happiness Happening... Most Matt Darey remixes from the time... Most Lange remixes from the time... Anything to do with the man Ferry (Moonman, System F, etc)! And more Ferry - who could forget Veracocha? Of course Armin - Communication, Rank 1 - Airwave, Dutch Force - Deadline... Chakra - Love Shines Through

I'm sure there are many many similar tracks that can be added to this too... But I'm getting damn tired... I think you all get the idea!


I haven't really done much searching for these types of CDs or livesets but wanted to know if any of you guys could straight away point out something or list a few things that in your mind captures what I am after...

I have a few CDs + livesets from these times mentioned but none really capture it all... There are things out there I'm sure I have never heard but would really love to hear!

I think many people might suggest Ferry's Innercity Set from Dec '99 but I already have this But I want MORE!


I am usually so obsessed with keeping up with the latest and greatest tracks that I seem to forget about these other times where trance also rocked + had many memorable tracks going around too... Some times it may be good to go back in time + discover new things or just simply relive the past?

Greece 2000... 1998... Awesome tunes! Cafe Del Mar, yes cool... But I think I may have grown a little tired of it through all the remixes + all... Maybe it's been too long since I heard the original?

And also Tilt - Invisible... Completely forgot about Tilt till I saw that tracklist! Also, some Kaycee tracks too... Can't remember them... I think it was Kaycee - Escape? Also some Space Brothers tracks too...


And I hope that when you say the "one CD" you understand that I am talking about two separate things for each era here?

And also it could quite well be a 3-4 CD compilation or a 3-4 hour set or something too don't forget?!

2002 there aren't many good mixed CDs, Tiesto's ISOS 3 is probably one of the best...

HOLY FUCK YES!! This is without a doubt the best Gatecrasher compilation ever released. Both discs are fucken intense!! I love the first disc from 'Deep Blue Dream' through the next 2-3 tracks after it. Then the ending!!

See now i beg to differ, as yes Wet is a wicked compilation...but its all the big tunes which everyone knows about. Whereas it comes second best to Disco-tech due to its abundance of massive massive tracks which never really took off as much as they deserved.
