Behringer DJX 700....Review after a few weeks of using
Hey fellow tas!
since a few weeks with my new mixer the djx 700 from behringer i must come to the conclusion that its a good mixer. but ive a problem....my mixing improved with my old mixer (gemini ps 540i)...beatmatching was very good and everything else too. but now with the behringer i suck @ beatmatching. and i dunno why...other users may have the same problem? im confused and i dunno if i lost the feeling for it...if it depends on the headfones(sennheiser hd 280 pro) or it is just me.....
well to come back to the mixer...its not a djm 500/600 but its a good quality mixer for semi professional djs.
thx

my beatmatching has got alot better, but thats through practising, not using my DJX700. im still trying to get used to the difference in eq's. my old mixer only went down to -26, and the djx's ones go to-32. makes a big difference when u r not used to it.

hey mate i got this mixer too, was a little problem getting along with beatmatching with this one but now i got it,
guessing youre mixing with one ear on the headphones, first make sure the button of your cued channel is pressed. then, the most important thing is set the level of the headphones as the same level you hear the master outside . set "mix" to "master" then start youre cued track . now slowly move it until you hear clearly both tunes togeher in your headphones. try to mix now.. more easy isnt it? good luck!

Dude, you just have to break in the mixer like breaking in a new pair of shoes. The mixer is the gold component of DJing, everything goes through that box, its just a matter of getting used to it.

very true, but it's possible beatmatching is harder on this box because of a poor quality headphone amplifier...
Not saying the one it has sucks, i've never used one of these boxes... but it's something to think about.
if the headphone output is bad, i'd check the specifications of the mixer vs your headphones and make sure the impedances are compatible.
incorrect impedance headphones is almost sure to reduce sonic fidelity.
regardless, good to see some feedback on this box - anyone else that has one, post your comments too

another thing with them, the bpm counters suck, justtrying to label my records with the bpm on them and it wavers around so much its unreal, one song it was wavering from 131bpm to 146bpm. they truley suck. btw i dont use them to mix, dont need to, just wanted to lable my records.

How does this mixer compare to a Pioneer DJM-500. Thats what my decision has come down to. Ner Behringer djx-700 or used Pioneer DJM-500. Any opinions/comparisons?

mhh....the DJX is not a djm 500/600....thats for sure but for ppls who dont have the money to buy a djm is this the right mixer....and its easier to mix imo cause u have the cue/master on ur headfones. the effects doesnt compare to the djms
