I had hoped for an end to the PC movement--I guess it's spreading like a wave, globally. Grow some thicker skin people!

Barbie is jewish that news to me. I was assuming that plastic dolls have no nationality.

I only recently found out about that. When I started dating Malibu Stacy and my Mum told me to leave that "shikse" and get a decent barbie doll

You and me both buddy. It's a scourge that will sadly become a hallmark of our entire generation for years to come. :-/
I don't want to take position on this story, but all of you as westerners can't really understand the cultures and mind frame in those countries. Laughing about this story is one thing, but saying its wrong is another thing.
Don't talk or judge stuff that doesn't apply to your western lifestyle.
Ahh..I heard about this on the radio. Nothing new. The vice and virtue police in Iran banned barbie dolls years ago. I read a report that the #1 black market American item in Iran was the Barbie, something like 500,000 of them were sold there for the equivalent of a week's salary.
It is not just a Arab/Muslim thing though. There are many ultra-conservative Christian groups that would do the similar things if they were in power.
BTW Vesa: WTF are "barbie-style clothes"?

Well seeing as I am male and did not move past the phase of "jeans and a t-shirt" being the height of (and only) fashion about 4 years ago I have no clue as to what is cool or not these days.
Do these girls who imitate Barbie get breast augmentations so they can have the large cone-shaped breasts as well?

fair enough if it was only about the cultural differences, but why bring anti-Jewish sentiments in? I mean..this surely isn't even funny anymore, it's just sick.

trivially because this "police" will reach out to the merchants and public alot quicker if they promote the ban of the product as jewish since it is.. well.. saudi arabia! Honestly, this kind of shit sickens me in the worst ways.
