Where is this accent from? UK or Australia?

Here I am, working although it's Saturday 10:00 PM, listening to some ragga and eurodance when my winamp reminded me of this tune:

SMS feat Rehb - Just a bit of Chaos

And I was wondering: where is this singer from? The way she says "started" almost as "stawted" reminds me of some brit accents, while the way she says "play" sounds aussie to me (Yeah, I'm a bit addicted to phonetics).

Can someone please enlighten me? Here's a sample

This tune rocks being played +7%

Hm, it's kinda somewhere in between, but I'd say it's more british than australian.

I strongly recommend listening to it while being drunk in a party where the man in charge of the music is a DJ with no beatmatching skills whatsoever What can I do? It's so catchy, plus it bring me memories from that night... the ones I still have after the hangover, that is

Kay, so I'm convinced it's not an aussie accent

Southern English is indeed my only guess now then. I guess people near London wouldn't pronounce "play" the way, so maybe it's somewhere more in the west, like Bristol? The girls remind me a bit from the MC of Massive Attack, and since they're from Bristol, it would make sense

after to listening to it a coupla times i can't say i'd place the accent as aussie - i'd be more inclined ot say it was british. but people often change their vocalisation/pronunciation when they sing.

It's a strange one. She's either from the U.K or is a butch aussie.
