WE CANNOT ADD ANY MORE NAMES TO THE RESERVATION LIST!!!

This is why there was a deadline posted here more than 24 hours ago. It is virtually impossible to get a dinner reservation for a large number of people at the last minute especially on a Friday night.

Anyways, for some of you that have been messaging me, my suggestion is just to show up at the restaurant anyways since there is a slim but slight chance that someone for whatever reason doesn't show up then a spot might free up. Otherwise you can still CHILL AT THE ROUNDBAR AND OUTDOOR PATIO with other TA's that are just planning on coming by to hangout and not really eat.

If you have any more questions, pls. PM me. I'll be departing at approximately 7 PM so I won't be able to reply after that.


Hey everyone,

Several of us were putting our heads together trying to come up with a suitable pre-meetup plan for Dumonde this Friday at Viva. Seeing as how the turnout might be rather large, and in celebration of our very own TOTA DJ's Möbius and Eso openning up the night, we figured that it might be a good idea to plan something a little more formal than the usual Country Style get go. In addition, it might also be a good opportunity for a lot of the newer TA's to get to know one another in an environment that's a little more suitable for social interaction than inside a loud club.

So this is the plan that we've come up with:

Some of you ultra oldschoolers might remember the TA social we had at Frankie's back in the fall of 2001. This was one of the very first TA meets I had personally ever attended and I had the good fortune of meeting some wickid people there for the first time.

Anyways, the restaurant itself is very nice and has a great ambience to it. It features a large open round bar in the front forum with a large open patio area. The remainder of the restaurant consists of a very nicely decorated dining section which is made to resemble a cobblestone side-street in Italy. Dinner would cost $16.99 (per person, drinks not incld.) on a Friday evening. For a better idea of how this place looks please check out:

The TA meetup held there just over 2 years ago went off with great success and many in attendance can easily attest how nice of a place this was. We figured it would be a prime choice location wise and for flexibility.

Here are just some of the reasons why we opted for this location:

• Buffet works well for large groups, people are able to move around the table and talk with different people throughout the night.
  
• We get our own designated dining area.
  
• You can control how much you want to eat and enjoy a large variety.
  
• Everyone pays one bill and drinks can be put on a seperate bill which avoids common confusion at the end.
  
• Located just up Woodbine Ave, north of Steeles and about a 5 minute drive from Viva.
  
• Open round bar and outdoor patio is good for people who might not want to eat but still want to attend the social.
  
• Very nice looking restaurant with a great ambience and perfect for inviting international guest DJ's to socialize.
  
• Everyone can attend regardless of age.
  
• Somewhat TTC accessible.
  
• Accepts reservations for large groups.
  

The Plan:

A dinner reservation will be made for "Tranceaddict" for 7:30 PM. This should allow us ample time to eat for about 2 hrs and be able to make it promptly inside VIVA to catch the TOTA DJ's spin and be entitled to reduced cover.


What should you do if you're interested in attending?

PLEASE PM or email me at [email protected] with your FULL NAME as well as TA NAME plus the number of guests you're bringing no later than THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 4th @ 8:00 PM.

DO NOT reply unless you are 100% certain that both you and your guests will be able to attend given the details above. If you are doubtful in any way or simply not interested in coming due to the price of the meal or other factors then please DO NOT reply to this.

Bear in mind that you can still attend the meetup by chilling at the roundbar or open patio without having to fully dine in thereby still allowing you to interact with the other TA's before departing to Viva.


And finally..

Many of us have already considered the possibility that if enough interest cannot be gathered then we will not hesitate to cancel this plan for other options likely less favourable to everyone here. It is only worthwhile if we can get a large number of people (say atleast 15 or more TA's in attendance). If this is not the case then the idea will be formally forfeit on the boards by the given deadline.

So please, take this opportunity by coming out and enjoying a night out with some other Tranceaddicts in what is sure to be a most memorable evening.
