Bora18t, (nice ride. I've got a GTI18t )
Anyhow. Yeah, I've been to Cancun a few times. Chose Mazatlan this year instead for a change.
Here's the problem: you're going down in at the END of high season. There will very likely not be any major DJ's down at the end of April as that's High School Break (READ: No Money). I can say for sure that there are none planned at LaBoom while you're there cause their website doesn't have anyone listed. Unfortunately, that is the most likely spot for an international DJ to come as they have an active promo team (which coincidentally works with Avalon in Boston during Spring Break).
I'll give you the run down, but you'll likely not have any problems finding where the people are going. The majority of clubs are located in a one block area of the main strip. The main clubs (IMO) in Cancun are: Coco Bongo, Dady'o Complex (Consisting of Dady'o's, Dady Rock, Baby Dady), LaBoom Complex(LaBoom Club & Tequila Boom), Christine Club, Bulldogs, and to a much lesser extent Senor Frog's, Pat O'Briens, and Fat Tuesdays.
The Clubs that will play electronic music as the majority or all of the music are LaBoom, Dady'o's, and Christine.
- Coco Bongo - Coco Bongo music runs all over the map. You'll get Hip-hop, mixed with electronic, mixed with their show, mixed with rock. However it is a massive club with a huge sound-system and is worth seeing once. The Mask (From the movie) show is interesting.
- Dady Rock - Dady Rock obviously plays rock.
- Baby Dady - Baby Dady is the Hip-hop room.
Neither of which is worth noting.
- Dady'o's - This one is worth mentioning. I love this club. Set up like a big round cave. A bit cramped at times, but good tunes and a bit of all the good stuff. Another excellent ice cannon. I would give this one my stamp of approval.

- LaBoom - The venerable grand-daddy of the clubs. Unfortunately the next big DJ is Anthony Pappa after you're gone. It's a large, well air-conditioned room, huge sound-system, excellent Ice Cannon. Purely electronic music spun by a great guy named DJ Benji. Not completely avant-garde in terms of his tracks, but mostly this year at least. Absolutely the biggest fuckheads in Cancun for bartenders. You'll see....you'll see. Home of the famed Phone Booth:

and where PVD plays when he's there:

- Tequila Boom - Hip hop room beside LaBoom. Small, but some crazy shit goes down here.
- Christine Club - Amphitheatre club so it's in a circle with descending levels to dancefloor. Music starts with some top 40 and latin early in the evening, but pure tech/trance near the end. THE, I repeat, THE best ice cannon in Cancun. Don't go here on a weekend if you're looking to meet people though. Very popular with the locals. I wish I had some pics of here. Found at Krystal resort.
- Bulldogs - I wish I could remember what this club used to be named. It was ok then. Now it is straight rock and straight shit.
The only redeeming quality here is the hot tub which they only allow girls into.

- Senor Frogs - Not as much of a 'true' nightclub as it is a bar with a dancefloor. Lots of hip-hop and top 40. Too bad they closed the waterslide that leads into the lagoon. Great place to 'hook-up', but not for music. Lots of dancing on the stage area.

- Pat O'Briens - Home of the Mardi Gras parties 5 years running. Hip-hop and top 40 mostly (although I once saw Johnny Vicious here).

Sorry to the dial-up'ers. Ok, not really, let's join the 21st century .
Sorry about the length but I have many just way too many memories of Cancun.....
