Jenny is a health care professional, she probably knows exactly the whys and hows these people will get dropped an early grave and probably (quite rightly) resents the burden they place on her industry for people that just have genuine accidents. Now you may judge her for being irrationally behaving like she does, but neither are you going to be holding the responsibility of treating an obese, 50 year old heart attack victim over a child who got hit by a car either.
Because, she has to treat them as equals and maybe she just resents that devils choice between the self inflicted and unfortunately needful members of the community |
Hah, believe it or not I'm a totally different person when it comes to my nursing practice. I wear a totally different lens when in that role. It's not my place to judge or discriminate or victim blame, and I don't.
My "hatred" of fat people has nothing to do with resentment of their choices and how it ultimately "burdens" me. As a nurse, I actually don't feel burdened by it - I don't allow myself to feel that way. if I did, I would have chosen the wrong profession and would be terrible at my job (which I am not).
Nope, when I "hate" on fat people, that's just me being plain old cuntface Pie. I know exactly why I react the way I do. I learned it from my father. That doesn't mean I believe it's right - because I actually don't. It's just a matter of indulging in a bit of negativity/catering to my dark side once in a while. I don't expect everybody to understand that, nor do I want them to.
