Yeah, they're not that bad. Obviously they're not gonna be Technics or anything, but they're not that bad.

Hey Luke, hows the CDX for mixing trance, I know its great for turntablists, but what about EDM DJs? I gotta say I had a brief mess around on it at the shop, really liked the effects section, it does seem like a kickass CD player, just hate the look of it and that they made it to be battle style.

Its great, took a little while for me to get used to it but now I'm fine with it and it feels like just another deck minus the tonearm.
I can't really scratch so I don't use it for that I just mix with it and have had no problems, but my mate came rnd the other day and showed me some really neat tricks so think I'm gonna learn.
The effects are brilliant I find a new thing to do with it every time I go on it. I have done a video mix with it check the link below and you can see for yourself, I have only managed to upload half of it so far my upload speed aint great so it takes a while.
I live in a fraternity house (big mistake), but the upside is I get to DJ in my own room for big parties! My roomate and I built the entire room from scratch basically. The DJ setup has a plexiglas cover that goes over it and locks making the area into a useable bar.
I have a:
Stanton SMX-401 Mixer
2 Numark TT1625 Turntables
Pioneer HDJ-1000 Headphones

Good to hear, I'll be sure to check out the video when I get home, I wonder if they are gonna use that effects unit in there new mixer there gonna release soon, if so, it could be a serious piece of kit with those effects and that wheel, I wish they would make the CDX look like a normal deck, I would seriously consider it.
EDIT: Wicked setup crrrazydan.
