I feel you think there's a problem somewhere in there, but I can't find it. Care to elaborate?

Jumped in the car a while back to do some quick paper work but for once didn't turn the car on, just left it on battery. Almost an hour later, battery is flat.
1 to 1.5 hour wait until a car arrives to replace it. It's already almost midday, I've had to cancel an appointment, I haven't got any work done yet and it's raining. What a shitty day.

Though possibly doing a dual major.
Not entirely sure about all of that at the moment.

I chuckled a few times too, but I really hate the Republic with a passion. The Myth of the Cave, the eugenics... gah!
but do you like the matrix!?!
i actually like the cave, from a philosophical angle at least
idea of forms etc is interesting and relevant in some respects (if you take away the metaphysics)

No, not really. I mean, I did enjoy the eye-candy but idea wise, I thought it was too unnecessarily mystic.

I can't really see it that way.
In practice, I'm too much of an anti-realist to even consider his stance as worth being pursued. There's a reality behind the apparent/sensible world -- and that's the true world?
Sooner or later the platonic world either becomes a useless picture of reality or just a twisted piece of imagination taken to be true.
