Samples sound nice and good remix support. I hope the label does something special for the 100th release.

How do fans of the label feel about the shift in the A&R? They announced a year or so ago they were shifting the label towards more melodic, tech-ish sounds. So far I think the output has just been tracks with massive breakdowns and feel just like fanfare.

I do enjoy Pukwudgie and Black Rainbow though.

Platipus 14 is coming out Monday and has tracks that are brand new or previously unreleased.

Annoying that they'll digitally release the Schulz mix of Jingalay, but not the storming Praha mix everyone used to play at the time.

I have no complaints with the current output, although I have to admit I haven't been following it as diligently as I once used to. It does seem like mostly tunes for the 'big moments' in Bedrock/Drumcode/etc nights, but all with a recognisable Platipus touch. I'd probably buy the lot on vinyl, if they pressed it, for old time's sake

Shame there's been nothing new from Brogden in a while, though.

I'm still amazed that there's even a 'current output,' since reports of the imminent death of Platipus by Berry himself is still fresh in my mind (I think that was around 2008?).

Anyway, just recently caught up with how awesome this one was, and still is:

Why oh why does no one seem to have the 'Mercury Freezing' remix of Binary Refined that appeared on the Art of Chill vol 2? It's one of those depressing stories in which even the producer doesn't have it, and you seem care more about finding it than they do.

Rather nice track indeed. I don't care much for the Satoshi Fumi remix; I'm finding it a little substandard especially in the drums department. Torsten Fassbender's mix sounds good though. It seems Torsten has become Platipus's in-house remixer.

He has been releasing good stuff admittedly. Although this is from last year, great track.
