you can whine and bitch and moan all about it if you want to. hell, you could even say, "man you're all pussies cause you didn't break my skin". it's a one-shot deal during your ceremony and that's it. you don't lose or gain any respect for your reaction to it. it's not like the bigger and badder your bruises are, the more respect or "badass" you are.
for fuck's sake, i had two tiny little pin holes; it's not like some sadastic or barbaric ritual where bones are broken. I have to disagree with you, but it's not a crappy tradition, and it's definitely not hazing.
