Show me a DJ/Producer/Label founder who's been in the EDM scene for more than 10 years, who isn't a part of today's Epic Trance scene, and who respects Epic Trance or McProg(or whatever markus spins), its artists, and its DJ's. Otherwise i'm not impressed.

As for ass kissing time?

Markus and Dave D. are mature 30 yr. old men . They can enguage in such a debate without resorting to childish behavior. Lets not forget they are business partners.

I am enguage in open and constructive debate on TA with memebers that hope to achive the same goal. However, as you are well aware their are assholes who want to be asshole online. You can not can enguage in a debate with an asshole. Your only defense is to be an asshole to them yourself (look at Dave D. remarks to a few assholes who ripped on him on TA ).

Markus Schulz

Markus Schulz,

If you think an online community, such as TA, is moving in the wrong direction because individuals voice their honest opinions about an DJ or producer than I will have to respectfully disagree with you. I believe that the 'magic' of TA is the diversity of opinion shared by its memebers. Yes , it can get nasty at times but lets not forget that ideas are exchanged amongst the words.

I respect that you have come on TA to give this speech on how to better improve the exchange of ideas on TA. However, I fail to realize how better mod. control ( which you suggest) will improve TA. Should a mod. delete a post that is anti- schulz? Should a Mod. ban a TA memeber because he offends the schulz alliance? This is the path which I hear you speak.

Fortunetely, TA has given memebers the freedom to speak there minds and exchange ideas freely. As a result TA is a respected dance music community.

TA , I beleive , allows individuals to improve their debating skills and share their ideas. Those who lack these skills feel that such an open forum is a nausiance.

It would have been much better Markus, if you came into a anti- schulz thread and defend yourself and your sound. This is the type of debate I would have respected. And of course you might have to get nasty with a few asshole memebers but the important point is you enguaged your fans and your ideas.

Thus I say to you and the rest of the online dance music community , to enguage, to debate, and to learn are the 3 central tenets of tranceaddicts.com . And I beleive this site has done an excellent job of doing that.

Dave Piazza

Markus is a very clever man indeed. This post was a attempt to address this issue indirectly ( why else would he decide to post ) :

=====================================================

Behind the Decks with Dave Piazza || Cancelled

Behind the Decks with Dave Piazza has been cancelled because of some personal disputes I am having with the Party107 staff. As a result I am withdrawing my show from Pary107.com

The Party107 staff feel that I must censor my comments on TranceAddicts made to Markus Schulz and his groupies because they offend him and GDJB.

I will not restrict my personal freedom of speech and expression. I must be true to myself and my fans. I have made the choice to be an indpendent person not pulled around like a puppet by the Part107 and GDJB strings.

Thank you all for your support and hope to find a new internet home for Behind the Decks.

Regards.

Dave Piazza

=============================================

Yet I dont see how his repsonse brings closure to the issue of free speach and individual rights. In my mind, he has only suggested further restraint of these rights through further mod. control.

While some of us would side with Dave on the free-speech issue, myself included, I think it's time that Dave discusses it with Markus, Tiger, Lane, and Party in private, and stop bickering about it in the open.

You'll only resolve the issues by discussing it with the people you think are a problem, not by whining about it with us.

Ahem, he never said TA is moving in the wrong direction because people are voicing their opinions about a DJ or producer, he said:

The people that don’t like my style of music, that’s ok too, maybe we have a sports team, a politician, TV show or a favorite Pop Idol wannabe in common.

Also, the people that are ruining this community are you Dave P. Look at the flame war you starting in your post just recently and how immature you acted. Reading all your posts in this thread make me laugh of how two faced you can be, and lets not forget immature.
