I stole Ted Promo's setup. And yeah, those are some really ballin computer speaker monitors I'm rockin.
That's the exact same setup I was rockin for awhile
Although I had KRK speakers and I've upgraded to a Rane Empath mixer since.

it is good to learn both, but with cpu speakers you will have trouble with knowing how accurate you are.;0

Yeah, I remember doing that first, but any more I listen to what's going on in the monitors more. Dunno, but I like to hear what everyone else is hearing more than just what's in the cans, I usually am off if I headphone mix the entire time. Tend to just rock one cup until I think it's there, then listen to monitors the rest of the way.

Also, clean my gear, Austin
and now's probably a good time to ask this, and maybe I should make a separate thread for this but:
Is there any safe method for cleaning the interior/lens of a cdj? I'm semi-apprehensive to use the dvd lens cleaner or shit like that because I figure there's some intense mechanism shit in the cdj that could possibly get fritzed if I were to put it in there. Is there car-specific lens cleaner, since the cdjs are slot-loading like a car cd player? Does any of this make a difference?
Basically one of my cdjs is starting to sound tired when loading a cd and sometimes it takes longer for a track to load. There was also one point in which the cdj literally froze, none of the buttons did anything, and I had to turn the power off and turn it back on.
Keep in mind, the cdjs were bought back in 2004ish, so I think they're just about shit out (at least the one is anyways).
Any help would be massive.
...so that Austin can clean my cdjs

How's it going....
It's a good chill out pad. There's another couch out of shot on the left as well. The room seats 9 comfortably. Usually though the two seats in front of the booth aren't there and it's used as an aftersession venue on nights out. It's the upstairs part of our garage 30 ft away from the house so neighbours don't hear anything. Had 30 people up there for Paddy's day this year.. It was a good session, messy, but good
