I've been working on this track. Its basically taken 3 distinct leaps towards completion. The first, an instance of a drum machine, synth and me on the microphone changing up the cadence and structure of the vocals (kind of repetitive, very little processing, except a nice reverb) http://djryan.com/tracks/Celebration.aif

Instance two, incorporates a bit more processing. Added vocoder to the vocal, fattened up sounds. http://djryan.com/tracks/Celebration2.aif

Instance three, chorus on the vocals, added another drum machine. New patterns to work in conjunction with the first drum machine. Lo Passed the Whip. Added New Bass Line (Open Res.) and Created Arrangement. (Still No-MixDown) So continuous loop with embellished points of reference (for mix down) http://djryan.com/tracks/CelebrationV3.aif

At this point, its pretty FAT sounding. Imagine being right in the middle of your set, room raging, and multiple decks playing. It's pretty heavy and that's where you'll begin.

Any feedback would be nice..

This carried me off to a far flung rave somewhere. To take it to the next level I'd say introduce some progression in the way Underworld do - with some big layered sounds coming in to accentuate the excitement and atmosphere.

Your tom loop could be made more alive by making it subtly morph around over say 16 bars - by applying a load of automation to give it a more Human tribe feel.

Keep it coming

So I tried a listen but the link wont open for me. Why don't you just use SC embedded here in the thread so we don't have awkward links to mess about with?

I Just have one chance at releasing this track proper. I mean perhaps maybe without having someone else remix it. Sounds like it could be something that fills a floor. I have all three instances of the tracks saved and tho 3 is the most worked on, version 2 sounds really clean. Needs a beat under neath it tho but that vocoder screams and I think out of the 3 sounds the best imo. Version 3 tho. I'm loving the percussive elements. The Chorus on my vocal is pretty nifty too. I haven't automated anything and I haven't cut the track down. Its literally one big gigantic block. The only thing that comes in is the kick at bar 17 and the bass which I did cut from only where I want the choruses to be.

I did add some delay on some of the drum sequences but Im thinking I almost want to leave it raw so that the DJ can throw the delay on it. Other than that, I took version 3 and mixed it with another techno track. Like if I was actually spinning and it sounds decent- if it was complete. I know there are a lot of kick ass producers in here so any input would be phenomenal.

Also, those "obscure links" Mr. Butler mentioned are direct links. Click and it plays immediately. I will not use Soundcloud, soundcloud is Garbage especially when I have djryan.com =))

Mmmm, not really sounding like a track, more like someone noodling on a couple of synths using GM sounds in a music shop with a drum machine playing in the background.

Just being honest bro, don't want you wasting time noodling, try harder and lift your game.
